Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing Tableau dashboards and reports that meet business requirements.
  • Connect to various data sources, perform data blending, and develop complex calculations, parameters, and expressions within Tableau.
  • Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements, define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and translate them into effective visualizations.
  • Optimize Tableau workbooks, data sources, and server performance for efficiency and scalability.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing rigorous testing, validation, and reconciliation of dashboards and underlying data.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to end-users on Tableau usage, data interpretation, and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Tableau features, product releases, and data visualization trends.
  • Document technical specifications, design documents, and support procedures for developed solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, offer constructive feedback to peers, and contribute to the overall technical excellence of the team.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Tableau Developer, including dashboard design, development, and deployment.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
  • Excellent understanding of data visualization best practices and principles.
  • Ability to connect to various data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, cloud databases, flat files).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Tableau Desktop Certified Professional or Associate certification.
  • Experience with other Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikView).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages for data manipulation (e.g., Python, R).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics, statistical modeling, or machine learning concepts.
