Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Experience Agent, you'll be responsible for:
- Fielding incoming customer service calls and resolving customer issues in a timely and accurate manner
- Researching account status and identifying account issues to provide effective solutions
- Addressing billing inquiries and resolving billing disputes in a fair and efficient manner
- Processing disconnection and re-connection requests with precision and care
- Enrolling customers and resolving enrollment issues with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Initiating collection activity on past due accounts and processing disconnection and re-connection requests as needed
- Serving as a customer advocate while adhering to all regulatory requirements and company policies associated with the role
Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) language proficiency
- Outstanding phone etiquette and polished communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent listening skills to understand customer concerns and needs
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor when dealing with agitated customers
- Attentive to detail and committed to high-quality customer service
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues
- Willingness to identify problems and suggest process improvements to enhance customer experience
- Proficiency in Windows environment and MS Word and Excel applications
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where change is commonplace
Experience and Background
We're looking for candidates with:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an inbound call center environment, with customer care experience strongly preferred
- Experience within the retail electricity industry strongly preferred
- Experience in similar markets such as utilities, telecom, or cable preferred
