Senior Data Engineer (AWS)
This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: Europe This is a remote position. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a global pharmaceutical client and help build scalable data infrastructure and modern cloud-based data pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, reliable data pipelines and infrastructure
- Build ETL/ELT workflows for large-scale data processing
- Develop and maintain data warehousing solutions
- Process and analyze large datasets to support business insights
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance standards
- Optimize data collection, storage, and processing performance
- Create dashboards, templates, and visualizations for stakeholders
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify data needs
- Design and execute experiments to validate data-driven solutions
Requirements
- Strong experience with:
- SQL
- Python or Scala
- AWS cloud platform
- Experience with big data technologies:
- Spark
- Kafka
- Hadoop
- Strong knowledge of:
- Data modeling
- ETL/ELT pipeline development
- Data warehousing concepts
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in enterprise-scale environments
Nice to Have
- Experience with manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks
- Experience within pharmaceutical or healthcare environments
