Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced AR/AP Bookkeeping Data Entry Specialist to join our team in Clarkston, MI. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for maintaining the organization of client files, managing login information, and performing various data entry tasks using QuickBooks Online and other software applications. If you're a detail-oriented individual with excellent social skills, a strong understanding of customer service, and experience with QuickBooks, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities and Duties

As an AR/AP Bookkeeping Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Maintaining the organization of client files, including login information and out-of-office responders
  • Date stamping and organizing mail, preparing checks for depositing at banks, and entering data into Excel spreadsheets
  • Organizing and filing paperwork, matching checks to bills, and sending email reminders
  • Updating distribution lists and scanning documents into the computer using Word, Excel, and other software applications
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the office and providing exceptional customer service to clients and guests
  • Entering AR/AP data for clients using QuickBooks Online or Desktop or Bill.com
  • Utilizing multiple monitors to perform tasks efficiently and effectively

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • 2 years of experience as a Bookkeeper Assistant, Office Assistant, or Receptionist
  • Bookkeeping and QuickBooks experience is a plus and will help advance your career quickly
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable and Payables is a plus
  • Excellent social skills, attention to detail, and strong understanding of customer service
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client information

Physical Setting and Schedule

This role is based in our Clarkston, MI office, and requires a part-time schedule, Monday-Friday, 4 hours per day, between 8:30am-5pm. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional results and building long-lasting relationships with our clients.

Education and Experience

To be considered for this role, you'll need to possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 2 years of experience as a Bookkeeper Assistant, Office Assistant, or Receptionist. Experience with Accounts Receivable and Payables, as well as QuickBooks, is a plus.
