Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our team, responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our general ledger accountants, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial operations, and participating in the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles. As a Senior Bookkeeper, you'll be an integral part of our financial team, working closely with our accounting, finance, and operations teams to drive business growth and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide direction and guidance to general ledger accountants, prescribing activities related to specific transactions, reconciliations, and investigations
- Create non-standard reports or analyses and address complex issues related to general ledger accounts
- Inspect transactions to ensure accounting practices are consistent and compliant, suggesting remedial actions as needed
- Ensure all organization deadlines are met related to specific general ledger accounts
- Effectively participate in the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles
- Provide support for all reporting (Management, Legal, and GAAP) related to specific general ledger accounts
- Participate in special projects related to specific general ledger accounts
- Provide information and data to internal and external auditors as required for specific general ledger accounts
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification (desired)
- At least five years of accounting experience in the healthcare industry or a similar field (size and complexity)
- Working knowledge of broad and healthcare industry accounting practices and standards
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and specific practices/methods
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of supporting technologies (e.g., PeopleSoft) and large ERP systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint) and working knowledge of other tools (e.g., MS Access)

Work Environment and Company Culture
arenaflex offers a hybrid work environment, with in-office presence required on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and work-from-home flexibility on Monday and Friday. However, management may require our team members to work from our actual locations on specific occasions. While working from home, our team members must be located within the Tri-State area of Delaware, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania.

- Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
