Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data pipelines and architectures that support our business and information science needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data-related challenges, and develop innovative solutions that drive business growth and improvement
- Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data set frameworks, and tools for continuous and batch data processing
- Work with our data science team to integrate data and models into automated processes, and develop data visualizations and reports to support business decision-making
- Develop and maintain data stores and data models to support information science and other internal clients, and ensure data quality and accessibility standards are met
- Investigate current data technology trends to identify and evaluate key capabilities and recommend solutions
- Explore and recommend new tools and technologies to support data engineering and analytics initiatives
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering, with a strong background in programming languages
- 5+ years of experience with SQL, and 5+ years of experience with Python
- Experience with cloud-based platforms, such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
- Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with the healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of medical data and analytics
- Experience with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment
Skills and Competencies
* Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in data engineering and analytics
- Experience with cloud-based platforms, such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data governance
