Job Summary
As an Accounting (Data Entry) Clerk at arenaflex, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and administrative tasks, including data entry, account reconciliation, and customer service. You will work closely with our accounting team to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes, while providing exceptional service to our clients and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
* Sort and post debits/credits to proper accounts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Verify amounts and codes on various forms for accuracy, and make necessary corrections
- Balance entries and maintain records, including journals, payroll/time reports, and property records
- Verify and reconcile simple bank statements, and make necessary adjustments
- Perform calculations and analysis used in basic accounting, and apply analytical skills to evaluate, prioritize, and categorize data
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and vendors, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED required
- 0-3 years of directly related or closely related experience in accounting or a related field
- Analytical skills to evaluate, prioritize, and categorize data in various forms and formats
- Basic knowledge of proper accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Proficient level of knowledge in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level
- Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.)
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player
- Time management and time-critical prioritization skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Experience with accounting software and systems, such as QuickBooks or SAP
- Certification in accounting or a related field, such as CPA or CMA
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
