Job Summary
As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry Transplant, you will play a critical role in supporting the care of patients with complex medical conditions. You will be responsible for routing questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion, making outbound calls and faxes to physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes. Your exceptional communication and problem-solving skills will enable you to provide top-notch customer service while working in a high-production environment.
Responsibilities
* Route questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion
- Make outbound calls and faxes to physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with industry developments and best practices
- Work effectively in a team environment to achieve shared goals and objectives
Requirements
* 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Pharmacy Tech Certified in the state of GA
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in software applications
Preferred Qualifications
* Specialty pharmacy experience
- Call center experience
- Prescription adjudication experience in order to communicate with prescribers regarding case status and assess prescription claim issues
