Job Summary

arenaflex is seeking an experienced Manager State & Higher Education to join its Southwest Business Department. This role is a unique opportunity to invest in the future of arenaflex's People as they execute strategic direction of the State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) managed travel accounts. As a key member of the team, you will coach and help to professionally develop the Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management, driving sales growth, establishing formal partnerships, and broadening awareness of arenaflex's corporate travel programs and services.

About the Role

The Manager State & Higher Education will be responsible for:

  • Coaching and developing Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management to achieve sales growth and establish formal partnerships with State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts.
  • Executing strategic direction of the SLED managed travel accounts, identifying opportunities for growth and developing plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including State, Local, and Higher Education officials, to promote arenaflex's corporate travel programs and services.
  • Identifying and hiring a sales organization of trusted Advisors in the managed travel industry, with a focus on building a diverse and inclusive team.
  • Developing and implementing training programs to ensure the sales organization has the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the managed travel industry.
  • Collaborating with other arenaflex teams, including Marketing and Sales, to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth and revenue.
  • Providing regular reporting and analysis to senior leadership on sales performance, market trends, and business opportunities.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in driving sales growth and establishing formal partnerships.
  • Strong knowledge of the managed travel industry, including market trends, competitor analysis, and sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement business strategies that drive growth and revenue.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • MBA or other advanced degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience in the airline or travel industry, with a strong understanding of arenaflex's products and services.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing training programs, with a focus on building a diverse and inclusive team.
  • Strong knowledge of sales software and technology, including CRM systems and sales analytics tools.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

arenaflex offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

  • A base salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
  • A 401(k) matching program, with a company match of up to 5% of your contributions.
