2D Game Artist and Animator Needed for Indie Mobile Game "Crazy Goats"

We are creating Crazy Goats, a fun and chaotic 2D physics-based mobile game where players launch mischievous baby goats through a farm environment causing destruction and chain reactions. Our slogan: "Crazy Goats. Unleash Your Inner Goat." Website: CrazyGoats.com The gameplay prototype is currently being built in Unity, and we are now looking for a talented 2D game artist with basic animation experience to help bring the game’s characters and world to life. What We Are Looking For. We need an artist who can create: - expressive cartoon-style baby goats - playful farm-themed environments - fun destruction visuals - simple but polished 2D animations The tone should feel: - mischievous - energetic - humorous - family friendly NOT: - dark - horror-themed - overly realistic The goats should feel full of personality and attitude. Art Style Direction. We already have: - logo concepts - branding - social media assets - visual references - early goat artwork concepts The current visual direction is: - colorful cartoon style - expressive faces and reactions - exaggerated movement and impacts - stylized farm environments - playful destruction effects Scope of Work: Character Art. We currently need: - 5 unique baby goat characters - facial expression variations - launch pose - flying pose - impact pose - idle pose - reaction/emotion frames Animation Requirements (Important). Basic animation experience is strongly preferred. Examples include: - idle animations - squash/stretch effects - jumping or bouncing motion - impact reactions - expression changes - simple looping animations - destruction reactions Animations do NOT need to be highly complex or cinematic. The goal is: - charm - personality - responsiveness - humor Experience creating assets for Unity animation workflows is a major plus. Environment & Prop Art. Examples: - hay bales - crates - fences - collapsing barns - rocks - barrels - debris - farm scenery - background layers UI Art (Simple). Examples: - buttons - icons - retry/reset UI - menu concepts - loading screen concepts Technical Requirements: - Assets must work cleanly in Unity - Layered source files required (PSD, AI, or equivalent) - PNG exports with transparency - Organized asset naming - Mobile-friendly optimization Ideal Candidate. We are looking for someone with: - 2D game art experience - cartoon character design experience - basic 2D animation skills - expressive animation style - experience creating Unity-ready assets - strong communication - ability to collaborate with our Unity developer - independent artists preferred over agencies. Budget.
