Position: USA_Sourcing Specialist 1_Buying/Procurement Join Our Team as a Sourcing Specialist in Houston, TX! Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of buying and procurement? As a Sourcing Specialist, you will:
- Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in Oracle
- Review and validate requisitions before PO creation
- Confirm supplier setup and availability in Oracle
- Support production meetings by preparing PO and part status reports
- Manage Blanket Purchase Orders (BPOs) and handle releases, expediting, and payment follow-up
- Communicate with suppliers via email and calls to request quotes, expedite materials, and clarify requirements
- Maintain documentation for auditability and PO attachments
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Oracle OSCAR and/or Oracle PASCAL
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in sourcing
- English language proficiency
Preferences
- Experience in the Oil & Gas industry
- Background in service, repair, or maintenance environments
- Experience with aero-derivative products or turbo machinery repair/services
- Familiarity with SAP or similar modern ERP systems
