Actuary, Pricing
Job Description:
- Independently perform actuarial evaluation of new program opportunities, including ELR selection, rate adequacy, rater reviews and communicate results to stakeholders
- Independently perform profitability reviews for each program and communicate those results to our stakeholders (internal and external) including actionable insights
- Develop and maintain reports to monitor KPIs for each program, including but not limited to hit ratios, rate change, claim frequency/severity, aggregation, limits profile, class/industry profile, etc.
- Create, enhance, and maintain pricing analytic models, including assumptions
- Leverage internal and external data to inform decisions
- Demonstrate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Establish business relationships with internal and external partners to aid in result discussions
- Assist as needed with filing support, pricing referrals, underwriting audits, etc.
- Support the development of analysts
Requirements:
- BS/BA in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or advanced analytics
- ACAS preferred
- 8+ years P&C experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
- Experience in Microsoft SQL databases or Python / R is a plus
- Familiarity with Power BI / Tableau is preferred
- Strong planning, organizational, project management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent analytical skills with advanced data analytics experience a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
