Job Title: Commercial Contracts Attorney – AI Fellowship Job Type: Contractor Location: Remote Job Summary: Join our customer’s team as a Commercial Contracts Attorney – AI Fellow and play a pivotal role at the intersection of cutting-edge AI and commercial law. This unique fellowship offers experienced attorneys the chance to drive the future of AI-powered legal tools, focusing on the review and negotiation of complex SaaS agreements. Work remotely in a high-impact research environment, shaping how AI understands and enhances contract workflows. Key Responsibilities:
- Review, assess, and provide expert feedback on SaaS contract redlining workflows used to train advanced AI models.
- Evaluate AI-generated contract suggestions for accuracy, risk identification, and legal soundness.
- Collaborate with product and research teams to refine data sets and annotation guidelines for AI training.
- Apply legal expertise to identify areas for improving AI model performance and output precision.
- Document and communicate findings, recommendations, and best practices to cross-functional teams.
- Analyze emerging legal and regulatory trends in technology transactions to inform project direction.
- Support the development of innovative contract review solutions by leveraging your deep in-house experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 3 years of in-house experience focused on technology transactions, particularly SaaS contract review, negotiation, and redlining.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong analytical capabilities and ability to translate legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to innovation at the intersection of law and technology.
- Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
Compensation and commitment
- $80–$105/hour
- Part-time, flexible schedule
- Minimum commitment: 5 hours/week
- Maximum commitment: 20 hours/week
- Fellowship duration: 1 month

- Prior exposure to AI, legal tech, or data annotation initiatives.
- Expertise in risk mitigation strategies within SaaS contracting.
- Publication or presentation record on legal technology topics.
