Primary Responsibilities
As a Live Chat Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
- Creating relationships with new and existing families that lead to loyalty and customer retention
- Effectively managing chat requests, emails, and tickets in a timely manner
- Identifying and assessing families' needs to achieve satisfaction quickly and efficiently
- Providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within an appropriate amount of time
- Following and implementing live chat protocols and guidelines
- Encouraging customers to purchase swim lesson packages by using a prepared script to reference important parts of what the company offers
- Working effectively in a team environment to support achievement of lesson registration goals
- Maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings based on explicit criteria set by the company
- Handling customer concerns, providing appropriate solutions and alternatives, and following up to ensure resolution
- Providing effective rebuttals to customers who are looking to release their lesson schedule
- Recommending additional services to customers by understanding their needs
- Assisting with projects as needed
- Completing and passing all assigned continual training and role play assignments
General Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Excellent written communication skills
- A positive and upbeat personality
- The ability to type 55 WPM
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive information
- The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Openness to coaching and training to increase customer acquisition performance
- The ability to actively listen and adapt to different types of personalities over chat
- A commitment to remaining professional and courteous with customers
- The ability to handle five chats at once
- Availability to work at least one weekend day and evenings
