Overview

The Sr. Logistics & Trade Compliance is responsible for identifying and maintaining commercial relationships with logistics service providers, and for initiating and coordinating shipments to support the project sites and fabrication shops with focus on best service, price and terms. This position routinely interacts with Supply Chain, Operations, Accounting, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively embraces and promotes the company’s HSE requirement’s and culture
  • Prepares bidders lists, proactively seeks out and qualifies new potential Logistics Service Providers.
  • Assembles and distributes requests for quotation from Logistics Service Providers.
  • Creates and issues contracting documents with Logistics Service Providers.
  • Coordinate inbound & outbound shipments with vendors, shops, and project sites
  • Liaise between CB&I, Vendor and assigned carrier on the shipping movement and documentation
  • Organize and maintain hard copy & electronic documentation supporting shipments (domestic or international)
  • May be responsible for soliciting budgetary pricing for Logistics to support estimating/proposal efforts for projects.
  • Proactively recommends, supports and implements improvements to tools, systems and software to improve efficiency and maximize autonomy.

Qualifications

  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
  • 10-12 years practice of regulatory compliance with import/export regulations related to international oil & gas industry
  • College degree or industry equivalent certifications
  • Expert understanding of U.S. trade regulations (ITAR, EAR, OFACE, etc.)
  • Experience working with international customs and export control laws highly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering trade compliance training to international stakeholders
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, domestically and internationally, as required
  • EPC Industry experience
