Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Telehealth Customer Service Representative, you'll work from home and provide exceptional support to patients and families across the country. You'll be responsible for:

  • Insurance Verification and Explanation of Benefits: Verify patient insurance coverage and explain benefits to patients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Incoming Call Management: Respond to incoming calls from patients and families, providing accurate and timely information about urgent care services and estimated wait times.
  • EMR Access and Navigation: Access and navigate our electronic health record system to retrieve patient information and update records as needed.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to patient care, insurance coverage, and other issues that may arise.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless patient care and support.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 1+ Year of Experience in a Medical Office Setting: Proven experience working in a medical office setting, preferably in a customer service or help desk capacity.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records: Familiarity with electronic health records systems, such as Experity or other EHR systems.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and internal departments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet.
  • Ability to Handle Complaints and Unpleasant Patients: Ability to handle complaints and unpleasant patients in a professional and empathetic manner.
