System Administrator, Microsoft 365
Key Responsibilities: Microsoft 365 Administration
- Administer and maintain Exchange Online, including mail flow, mailbox permissions, transport rules, and hybrid configurations.
- Manage Microsoft Teams settings, policies, and integrations with other M365 services.
- Oversee Microsoft Purview for compliance, data governance, and lifecycle management.
- Monitor service health, usage analytics, and proactively resolve issues across M365 services.
Tenant-to-Tenant Migration & Domain Management
- Plan and execute email migrations between Microsoft 365 tenants using BitTitan MigrationWiz.
- Perform domain migrations between tenants, including DNS updates, domain verification, and service reconfiguration.
- Manage domain registrars, including renewals, DNS record updates, and registrar transfers.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless transitions with minimal disruption.
Security, Compliance & Journaling
- Implement and manage DLP, retention policies, eDiscovery, and compliance manager settings in Microsoft Purview.
- Perform searches and exports of email data from journaling providers to support legal, compliance, and archival requirements.
- Ensure M365 configurations align with organizational security and compliance standards.
Automation & Scripting
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks and generate reports.
- Document procedures, configurations, and change management activities.
Support & Collaboration
- Provide Level 3 support for Microsoft 365-related incidents and escalations.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and compliance teams to support business needs.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong expertise in Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Purview.
- Proven experience with BitTitan MigrationWiz for tenant-to-tenant migrations.
- Experience migrating domains between Microsoft 365 tenants and managing domain registrars.
- Experience with email journaling systems and exporting data for compliance or legal purposes.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-203, MS-700, SC-400) are a plus.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with hybrid Exchange environments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and conditional access policies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
