5G Core Kubernetes Deployment Engineer (Contract)
We are seeking a skilled Kubernetes / Network Function Deployment Engineer to support the buildout and rebuild of 5G core network elements. The primary focus of this role will be on SMPCF deployments, with secondary responsibilities supporting AMPCF and SCP functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on Kubernetes expertise along with experience deploying telco-grade Cloud-Native Network Functions (CNFs) in production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and rebuild SMPCF sets using updated software on Kubernetes platforms
- Support deployment and integration of AMPCF and SCP functions
- Decommission legacy network function sets and assist in migration to the new architecture
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including integration and field support
- Ensure timely execution of build milestones and delivery targets
- Maintain accurate documentation and track deployment progress
- Troubleshoot issues across network, platform, and orchestration layers
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
- Deep understanding of 5G Core architecture and 3GPP call flows, particularly SMPCF, AMPCF, and SCP
- Experience deploying and managing Cloud-Native Network Functions (CNFs)
- Familiarity with container orchestration, scaling, and lifecycle management
- Ability to work in agile, fast-paced, milestone-driven environments
- Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
