Responsibilities

As a Customer Support Specialist at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in providing top-notch technical support to our customers via phone, ticket system, or messenger. Your expertise in Linux and MSP will enable you to tackle a wide range of advanced server management issues, from troubleshooting to preventative measures. Here are some key responsibilities you'll be expected to fulfill:

  • Provide technical support for customers via phone, ticket system, or messenger, utilizing your critical thinking skills to identify and resolve technical problems.
  • Support customers in a wide range of advanced Linux and AWS server management issues, including DNS, networking, IP routing, database management, and control panel administration.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external channels, ensuring seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Develop short-term resolutions and implement preventative measures for the longer term, ensuring continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor server alerts for any performance issues and address them promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Contribute to the creation of internal documentation and customer-facing knowledge base, sharing your expertise with the team and enhancing our collective knowledge.
  • Assist in onboarding, training, and mentoring new team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant technologies, ensuring you're always equipped to tackle the latest challenges and opportunities.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a unique blend of technical expertise, customer service skills, and adaptability. Here are the essential qualifications we're looking for:

  • 1+ years of experience in customer service/technical support via phone or ticketing system.
  • Experience as a System Administrator or End User of a Linux Operating System, with a strong understanding of:

+ Ubuntu, CentOS, CloudLinux + DNS, Networking, IP routing + Database: MySQL + Control Panel: cPanel, AWS

  • Managed Services Provider (MSP) experience is required, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience working with AWS (EC2, CloudWatch, AutoScaling, etc.).
  • General understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, Routing, and Email.
  • Demonstration of independent thinking and decision-making abilities, with a strong ability to multitask, adapt to changes quickly, and prioritize work.
  • Excellent communication, availability, and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to learn and grow.

Your salary will be competitive, with a base salary of $80,000+ DOE, depending on your experience and qualifications.
