As a key member of our Southwest Business Department, the Manager State & Higher Education will play a vital role in investing in the future of arenaflex's people as they execute strategic direction of the State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) managed travel accounts. This dynamic leader will coach and help to professionally develop the Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management, driving sales growth, establishing formal partnerships, and broadening awareness of arenaflex's corporate travel programs and services to State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts.

Key Responsibilities

As the Manager State & Higher Education, you will be responsible for:

  • Executing strategic direction of the State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) managed travel accounts
  • Coaching and professionally developing Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management
  • Increasing sales growth through effective sales strategies and tactics
  • Establishing formal partnerships with key stakeholders in the managed travel industry
  • Broadening awareness of arenaflex's corporate travel programs and services to State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts
  • Identifying, hiring, onboarding, and training a sales organization of trusted Advisors in the managed travel industry
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business results and achieve strategic objectives

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in sales growth, partnership development, and team leadership
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. (no current or future work authorization sponsorship available)

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience in the managed travel industry or a related field
  • Proven experience in sales leadership, team management, and professional development
  • Strong understanding of arenaflex's products and services, as well as the managed travel industry
  • Ability to travel for training, meetings, conferences, and other business-related activities

This role is offered as a remote workplace position, which may require travel for training, meetings, conferences, etc. Outside of those required visits, the majority of your working time may be spent in a remote location, away from our Corporate Campus.
