We're now seeking an exceptional Director of Data Science to lead our Global Data Strategy group, driving the development of cutting-edge data analytics and reporting capabilities that will inform business decisions and drive growth.
Job Summary:
As the Director of Data Science, you will be responsible for leading the strategic evaluation of arenaflex credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve allocation for Senior Management in Risk and Finance. You will own and maintain precise information assets and packages within Risk Finance, leveraging your expertise to troubleshoot issues, reconcile results, identify enhancements and automation opportunities, and train other stakeholders to drive adoption. Your primary goal will be to develop and maintain preferred and ad-hoc reports used by Risk Finance and/or business partners, providing credit-associated analytical support and developing key analyses and recommendations for Senior Management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the strategic evaluation of arenaflex credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve allocation for Senior Management in Risk and Finance
- Own precise information assets and packages within Risk Finance, and become a subject matter expert on the applicable tools (troubleshoot issues, reconcile results, identify enhancements and automation opportunities, and train other stakeholders to drive adoption)
- Develop and maintain preferred and ad-hoc reports used by Risk Finance and/or business partners; provide credit-associated analytical support
- Develop and present key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management
- Build and maintain relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc.
- Provide analytical support with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities within the portfolio which can be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions
Required Qualifications:
* Advanced experience working with a combination of the following is required: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1
- Experience working with a sophisticated level of Excel and PowerPoint is required
- Experience in ML modeling is a plus
- Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large datasets and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions
- Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must be results-driven and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines
- Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, growing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes
- A strong work-ethic and strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to build and maintain relationships and successfully collaborate with team members to achieve goals
- Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline is required

Compensation and Benefits:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $55.00 to $85.00 hourly, plus bonus, equity (if relevant), and benefits. Ultimately, in determining your compensation, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
