Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Insurance Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for handling property and casualty (P&C) related customer service and/or billing inquiries and problems via the telephone. Your primary duties will include:

  • Contacting policyholders from our existing book of business through inbound/outbound telephone calls, direct mail, and email to review policies prior to renewal
  • Reviewing and updating policies to enhance retention and better meet the needs of our customers
  • Counseling policyholders concerning appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws that will best meet their needs for sufficient protection against risks covered by P&C insurance
  • Making recommendations and/or changes to policies and gaining policyholder acceptance to process the changes
  • Receiving and responding to calls and emails received by the insurance service center, documenting all activity in EPIC
  • Utilizing knowledge of the insurance industry and club insurance agency policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service
  • Identifying opportunities to apply discounts, processing insurance verification forms for insured, and acting as a liaison for information exchange between customers and insurance companies
  • Processing changes to policies within EPIC and submitting changes to specific companies, following up with companies to ensure change requests have been processed in a timely manner
  • Reviewing policy information and referencing company-specific claims procedures to assist insured in filing claims
  • Mailing insured documentation to be signed and returned as necessary, following up to ensure documentation has been returned in a timely manner from member/customer
  • Recognizing cross-sell opportunities (membership and insurance) and obtaining quote information

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment
  • A Property and Casualty insurance license, required
  • A Membership license, preferred, and/or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment

Work Schedule

As a work-from-home representative, you will be required to work a standard Monday-to-Friday schedule, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST, with rotating Saturdays with your team, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. CST.
