Key Responsibilities
As a Sr. Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing large-scale data pipelines to collect, normalize, and process data that meets business and information science needs
- Developing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data set frameworks, and tools for continuous and batch data processing
- Collaborating with the data science team to integrate data and models into automated processes
- Working with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) to design and implement data pipelines
- Developing strong programming skills in Python (or other major languages) to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems
- Building data stores and data models to support information science and other internal clients
- Ensuring data quality and accessibility by incorporating data from various sources
- Investigating current data technology landscapes to identify and evaluate key capabilities and suggest solutions
- Exploring new tools and technologies to determine the best approach given the requirements of the model or use case
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering
- 5+ years of experience with SQL
- 5+ years of experience with Python
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
