Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Remote Chat Consultant to join our team, working from the comfort of your own home. As a key member of our customer service and sales team, you'll be responsible for handling incoming chats, resolving customer inquiries and issues, and driving sales growth through effective salesmanship and product suggestions. Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Chat Consultant, you'll be responsible for:

  • Handling incoming chats from customers, responding to their inquiries and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Utilizing salesmanship to maximize sales opportunities and meet sales goals and expectations
  • Suggesting products to customers while probing for additional information to provide personalized solutions
  • Providing lighting and home décor solutions that are beneficial to the company and attractive to the customer
  • Preventing customer returns and ensuring customer retention through reasonable negotiations and solutions
  • Contacting customers via phone when possible to resolve customer inquiries and issues in a timely manner
  • Demonstrating self-confidence and a desire to go the extra mile to take care of the customer from A-Z in order to create a positive customer experience every time
  • Partnering with Management on escalated customer and product issues, identifying trends on issues that may affect customer satisfaction levels, and consistently communicating them to management in measurable terms
  • Providing pro-active, consistent follow-up to all customer inquiries, either via phone or email, and responding and replying to every customer email upon receipt
  • Documenting a complete summary of the customer's inquiry, actions taken, and expectations set forth on the respective order
  • Maintaining standards set forth by the company QA program, providing the highest quality of service while demonstrating improvements when necessary determined by the QA team and management

Essential Qualifications

To be successful as a Remote Chat Consultant, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of customer service, administrative, or retail background, with call center experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate details to customers in a professional and calm manner
  • Computer literacy, with the ability to navigate through programs and windows
  • Excellent typing and data entry skills
  • The ability to multi-task, talking on the phone and typing notes at the same time
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays, with regular job attendance required in accordance with a regular schedule established for the position by the supervisor

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth
  • Knowledge of home decor and lighting solutions, with a passion for staying up-to-date on industry trends and developments
  • Certification in customer service or sales, with a strong understanding of sales principles and techniques
