Senior Curriculum Developer - EdTech
Our client, a leader in educational technology, is seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Curriculum Developer to design and implement innovative learning programs. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the future of online education, ensuring engaging, effective, and accessible content for a diverse student population. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, adult learning principles, and experience developing curricula for various subjects and age groups. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for both in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and revise comprehensive curriculum materials for online courses, including lesson plans, learning objectives, assessments, and multimedia resources. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), instructional designers, and faculty to ensure content accuracy, pedagogical soundness, and alignment with learning outcomes. Apply principles of adult learning theory and instructional design best practices to create engaging and effective learning experiences. Develop assessment strategies and tools to measure student learning and evaluate program effectiveness. Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technologies to deliver and manage course content. Conduct research on emerging trends in education, technology, and curriculum development to inform content creation. Review and provide feedback on curriculum developed by other team members. Manage multiple curriculum development projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and quality standards. Facilitate workshops and training sessions for instructors on curriculum implementation and best practices. Ensure all developed materials comply with accessibility standards and institutional policies. Qualifications: Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum design and development, preferably in an online or higher education setting. Proven experience with instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and learning theories. Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle) and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate). Strong understanding of assessment design and evaluation methods. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts. Experience in project management and managing project timelines.
