Associate Licensed / Pre‑Licensed Mental Health Coach - Remote

Pre-licensed clinicians must maintain their own external board-approved clinical supervisor and supervision agreement outside of EC. Position Overview We’re hiring Associate Licensed / Pre-Licensed Mental Health Providers to provide virtual psychotherapy and behavioral telehealth across the lifespan. Presentations include anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, anger/impulse challenges, life transitions, identity development, and relationship/family dynamics. You’ll manage a flexible telehealth caseload, document promptly in our EHR, coordinate care with peers, and contribute to an inclusive, trauma-informed clinical culture. Providers may deliver services under their own credential and external supervision arrangements, in accordance with their licensing board requirements. ESCW provides operational, administrative, and peer consultation support, but not clinical supervision toward licensure. We’re looking for team members who can offer 15+ hours/week (some evenings preferred) and who thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment with shared accountability and professional communication. • Pay Rate: $50/hour (Associate/Pre-Licensed)
• Remote: 100% telehealth
• Position Type: Per Diem
• Employment Type: Independent Contractor (1099); malpractice insurance required

Responsibilities

• Provide standard 53–60 minute teletherapy sessions across all age groups; children/adolescents or couples/family work optional based on training and supervisor approval.
• Complete intakes/assessments, DSM-5-TR diagnostic formulation under supervision, treatment planning, progress notes, and discharge; obtain co-signatures where required.
• Deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed care (CBT/DBT/ACT/TIC) and integrate mindfulness/somatic strategies as appropriate.
• Teach skills for emotion regulation, grief processing, anger/impulse management, communication/relationship skills, and coping with life transitions.
• Coordinate care with ESCWi clinicians and external providers; follow risk/safety protocols, including timely escalation to a supervisor; participate in weekly supervision (individual and/or group).
• Document within 48 hours in the EHR; maintain HIPAA compliance, measurable goals, and board-compliant supervision logs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Associate/Pre-Licensed credential required: e.g., AMFT, ACSW , LMHCA etc. (Fully licensed clinicians are welcome to apply to our licensed-clinician posting.)
• Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• Experience: Telehealth/EHR familiarity; strong grounding in CBT/DBT/ACT/TIC from practicum, internship, or post-grad training; culturally responsive, trauma-informed practice; comfort working across age groups.
• Professional standards: Active malpractice insurance, reliable tech setup, consistent availability (15+ hours/week), timely documentation, clear communication, and openness to feedback/supervision.
• Nice-to-have: EMDR/IFS or somatic training; child/adolescent and/or couples/family therapy experience; multilingual capability.
