Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Analyst to join our Southwest Airlines University team, which is responsible for developing and implementing learning and development programs for our employees. As a Senior Learning Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting data to inform business decisions, identify areas for improvement, and measure the effectiveness of our training programs. You will work closely with senior leaders to develop insights and recommendations that drive business outcomes and support our company's mission.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Learning Data Analyst, you will be responsible for:

• Applying advanced data analysis techniques and tools, such as Alteryx, Tableau, and SQL, to extract insights from large datasets and present findings to stakeholders
• Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and presentations to support business decision-making and inform training program development
• Collaborating with business stakeholders to identify data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs
• Analyzing and mitigating risks associated with data quality and data visualization
• Supporting escalated and complex data troubleshooting for business customers
• Gathering and interpreting requirements to convert business needs into actionable data and present findings
• Partnering with senior leaders to gain insights and measurements to convert business needs into actionable data presentation requirements
• Identifying strengths and weaknesses of potential solutions, conclusions, or processes to problems
• Understanding and estimating the effort and cost of a solution
• Working with the Business Intelligence Analyst to resolve issues and share expertise of tools and strategies
• Performing other duties as directed by Employee's Leaders

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Advanced skills in data analysis, data visualization, and data presentation using tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and SQL
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns and trends in data
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision
• Understanding of company policies and expectations of SWA Culture
• Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends, and travel as required
• Ability to work under tight time constraints and at times, in disturbing conditions
• Ability to design and conduct analyses, as well as synthesize recommendations
• Ability to develop, present, and effectively communicate techniques and ideas to various audiences

Education

* High School Diploma or GED required

• Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., data science, analytics, business administration) preferred

Experience

* Advanced level experience, with extensive expertise in: + Acquiring data using various tools such as SQL, Python, Alteryx, Qlikm, Attunity, or other comparable toolsets + Visualization and presentation experience

• Preferred: Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Visual Basic)
• Preferred: Working experience in Air Operations training and Advance Qualification Program (AQP)

As a remote work-from-home (WFH) opportunity, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home. However, you will be required to work onsite at our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX for a minimum of 3 days a week.
