Job Summary

As a Virtual/Remote Benefits Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in assisting clients with enrollment and updates to their health care or pension plans. Working remotely, you will provide excellent service via phone, chat, and message center, building rapport quickly and responding to plan participants with compassion and professionalism. This is a seasonal opportunity, with a duration of 3-6 months, and the potential for full-time opportunities for high performers.

Responsibilities

* Assist clients with enrollment and updates to their health care or pension plans, providing excellent service via phone, chat, and message center

  • Build rapport quickly and respond to plan participants with compassion and professionalism
  • Customize your service approach to accommodate various communication styles and maintain professionalism during challenging interactions
  • Handle confidential information with utmost sensitivity and adhere to HIPAA and Data Privacy laws
  • Maintain accurate call and case notes in a professional manner
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve goals and objectives
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

* High School Diploma or GED required

  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a call center environment
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and organize work effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to manage multiple computer windows simultaneously
  • Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute
  • Comfortable working in a virtual environment within a 1-hour radius of Richardson, TX

Preferred Qualifications

* Associate or Bachelor's degree is a plus

  • Familiarity with health, welfare, and/or defined benefit pension plans
  • Previous experience in a call center environment
  • Proficiency in Spanish (read, write, speak)

Compensation and Benefits

* Competitive hourly pay rate of $17.00 per hour for English-speaking representatives and $17.75 per hour for Spanish-speaking representatives
