Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our Quality Control Standards and Guidelines team as a Data Analyst Intern. As a Data Analyst Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that will help you develop your skills in data analysis, interpretation, and presentation. You will be responsible for identifying trends and patterns in data, creating reports and presentations, and making recommendations for process improvements.

Responsibilities and Expectations

As a Data Analyst Intern, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing and assisting others in the Quality Control group in ideal data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data components
• Helping to create and deliver results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders
• Assisting in exploring ad-hoc requests resulting from emerging maintenance issues and providing logical answers to enable Senior Leadership to make business decisions while adjusting existing project responsibilities
• Presenting findings, trends, and potential recommendations by using data visualization tools supporting the relevant marks of the investigation to ease partner understanding
• Helping to create and disseminate specific queries to pull and coordinate data from various sources, outlining the rhythm, and approving the need of the data requirements
• Identifying irregularities in processes through reviews/audits and conveying findings to the team
• Assessing the effectiveness of processes and methods by observing for patterns and errors
• Ensuring that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision
• Performing other work duties as directed by Group Leader

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, or business administration)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large amounts of data with care and accuracy
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively listen, understand, and convey ideas and present findings in writing, verbally, or through presentations to diverse audiences
• Ability to evaluate business issues, identify valuable opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong understanding of data visualization tools and capacities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase (desired)
• Ability to grasp the issue, summarize, and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning
• Willingness to use PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications (desired)
• Past internship, capstone project, or research experience in a related field (desired)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on responsibilities and a self-motivated mindset
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential data appropriately
• Ability to plan and support large business initiatives
