Job Summary

As a Part-time Remote Data Entry Operator, you'll play a critical role in supporting our Customer Service Division by accurately and efficiently entering data into our customer information system and other Public Works software. You'll work closely with our team to establish and maintain utility accounts, verify account eligibility, and prepare work orders for distribution. Key Responsibilities

* Establishes and maintains utility accounts by accurately entering data into our customer information system

  • Verifies account eligibility and accessibility to ensure accurate billing and customer information
  • Prepares, distributes, and completes work orders in a timely and efficient manner
  • Prepares files for mass customer communications, including billing statements and other notices
  • Assists with mailing billing statements and other notices generated in-house
  • Scans or retains documents as required
  • Performs monthly audits of incomplete account transfer requests to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Enters data into Key Performance Indicator tracking databases to support business intelligence and decision-making
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Essential Qualifications

* High School Diploma or acceptable equivalency diploma (GED)

  • Two (2) years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software
  • Excellent typing and accuracy skills, with the ability to meet or exceed 40 wpm typing speed
  • Strong 10-key skills, with the ability to accurately enter data using the 10-key pad
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and colleagues

Preferred Qualifications

* Associate's degree in business administration, data entry, or related fields

  • Two (2) years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist in a customer service environment
  • Experience with Public Works software and customer information systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data entry errors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
