Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team on a part-time basis (8 hours/week). As a key member of our business intelligence and analytics team, you'll be responsible for:
- Assembling complex data sets, creating informative visualizations, and developing multi-functional reporting that informs business decisions
- Providing expert analysis and insights on various business streams, including D+ and Hulu, to enhance the customer experience and drive conversions
- Advancing the scientific capabilities of the business, collaborating on the design of analytical solutions, and delivering actionable data insights and products
- Utilizing data visualization tools, SQL, and programming languages to access and analyze structured and unstructured data
- Applying statistical techniques (t-test, chi-square, ANOVA, correlation, regression, and more) to understand customer behavior and drive business impact
Responsibilities

- Provide expert analysis and insights on various business streams, including D+ and Hulu, to enhance the customer experience and drive conversions
- Advance the scientific capabilities of the business, collaborate on the design of analytical solutions, and deliver actionable data insights and products
- Utilize data visualization tools, SQL, and programming languages to access and analyze structured and unstructured data
- Apply statistical techniques (t-test, chi-square, ANOVA, correlation, regression, and more) to understand customer behavior and drive business impact
- Develop and maintain complex data models, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop data-driven solutions
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, using clear and compelling storytelling techniques
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering)
- 3+ years of experience as a data analyst in an analytics and data science space, with expertise in SQL, Python, or R for complex querying, high-level analysis, and data visualization
- Proven track record of delivering end-to-end analysis projects, from unclear requirements to actionable business insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and technical partners
- Experience with data visualization tools, including Matplotlib, Seaborn, Looker, MicroStrategy, Plotly, and more
- Familiarity with marketing landing pages, customer journey analysis, and business intelligence platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex business issues
- Experience with data storytelling, presentation design, and communication of complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
* Master's degree in a quantitative field
- Experience with data science tools, including machine learning algorithms and deep learning techniques
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with data governance, data quality, and data management best practices
- Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of business operations and strategy
- Experience with agile development methodologies and data-driven decision-making
