Responsibilities
As a Remote Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing first-level problem resolution to member, provider, and broker inquiries via telephone, gathering and researching information, examining claim submissions, and resolving issues based on applicable policies and procedures.
- Utilizing your knowledge of products and contractual provisions to provide customer service and education, interpret contractual language, and determine the need for managed care initiatives.
- Delivering accurate information to customers in accordance with performance goals and objectives.
- Maintaining customer records by updating account information using the business areas enrollment/inquiry tracking system and processes.
- Participating in ongoing education related to new services, industry topics, and skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Answer member, provider, and broker inquiries regarding product information, benefits, claims resolution, eligibility, and billing questions.
- Provide information and education to members, providers, and brokers about health, financial, and self-service programs.
- Offer basic technical assistance and troubleshooting guidance for digital and electronic applications.
- Resolve issues based on applicable policies and procedures, utilizing knowledge of products and contractual provisions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and arenaflex's products and services.
Essential Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in using computer applications and software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous experience in customer service or a related field
- Knowledge of healthcare products and services
- Familiarity with claims processing and adjudication
- Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software
- Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR))
