Experienced Part-time Remote Data Entry Specialist – Surplus Lines Tax Compliance and Billing Support

As a key member of our Bridge Specialty Group, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Billing Platform and providing top-notch support to both internal users and external customers.

Job Summary

As a Part-time Remote Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for a range of critical tasks, including data entry, filing Surplus Lines taxes, and providing technology support for our Billing Platform. You'll work closely with our internal teams and external customers to ensure seamless communication and efficient processing of transactions.

Key Responsibilities

* Generates and reviews weekly insurance payables reports to identify policies that require filings

• Interfaces with Broker Assistants and Brokers to obtain information or forms required for state compliance, follows up when necessary, and provides Surplus Lines record numbers and/or countersignatures as needed
• Ensures Surplus Lines taxes and fees are entered correctly and enters, files, and pays taxes with each state entity according to their requirements
• Provides all documentation to accounting assistants for check or ACH issuance for payment of taxes to the states
• Provides information to accounting leaders for reconciliation purposes
• Maintains PSR Surplus Lines tax intranet and generates various Excel reports
• Assists profit center personnel as necessary and maintains electronic records of Surplus Lines tax filings and correspondence with state entities
• Gathers information for regulatory audits and performs other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications

* High School Diploma or equivalent

• Familiarity with Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Technical skills across a breadth of technologies, with the ability to interact with both business and technology teammates

Preferred Qualifications

* Associate's degree in Accounting
