Our Security and Legal Information Engineering team designs flexible data management and extraction frameworks that form the backbone of our ability to uphold the highest data protection and cleanliness standards in the industry. We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and help us build robust, adaptable, and privacy-driven data structures. As part of this team, you'll work with various data technologies like Flash, Voila, Flink, Kafka, and others to create fast, flexible, and powerful data pipelines; write ETL tasks to collect and aggregate data; and design high-quality data structures that enable proper handling of user personal data.

About the Role
We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in designing and implementing data pipelines, data models, and data structures that support our business objectives while ensuring the highest standards of data protection and compliance.Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement effective, flexible, and adaptable data pipelines to handle structured and unstructured data
- Develop a deep understanding of the data ecosystem at arenaflex from a data protection perspective
- Collaborate with the data protection engineering teams to understand business objectives and provide data that enables us to respond to user and regulatory data requests
- Maintain and re-evaluate existing datasets and pipelines to ensure they meet the evolving needs of our business
- Join a talented team of data engineers who are passionate about improving our data protection practices and mitigating legal and regulatory risks
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual who is passionate about data protection and has a strong background in data engineering. The ideal candidate will have:- A deep understanding of data engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or Scala) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of advanced SQL concepts and data modeling
- Experience designing data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Voila, Flash, Flink) on medium to large-scale datasets
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to take requirements and deliver flexible data models and pipelines
- A passion for learning new technologies and staying up-to-date with industry trends
