As a Part Time/Casual Customer Service & Sales Assistant, you will be part of a team that is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, driving sales growth, and contributing to the success of our retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Part Time/Casual Customer Service & Sales Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Sales and Service: Greet and welcome customers, demonstrate active selling techniques, provide product information and guidance, and ensure a high-quality customer service experience.
  • Visual Merchandising: Assist in maintaining the appearance of the sales floor, set up seasonal promotions and visual displays, and regularly monitor assigned areas for product restocking and recovery.
  • Point of Sale Support: Operate cash registers, assist customers with check-out, and execute appropriate cash handling procedures.
  • Inventory & Order Fulfillment Support: Help receive and process incoming merchandise, assist with special orders and store-to-store shipping requests, and possibly handle seasonal perishable goods.
  • Customer Care: Support the digital and in-store shopping experience by assisting with responding to customer inquiries.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Pleasant personality: A warm and friendly demeanor that makes customers feel welcome.
  • Excellent customer service skills: Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Moderate computer/systems competency: Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Prior retail sales experience: Helpful but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
