Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic medical receptionist to join our team in Rochester. As a medical receptionist, you'll be responsible for creating a positive patient experience, managing front office operations, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities

* Check patients in and out, ensuring accurate and efficient processing

  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel
  • Schedule appointments, verify insurances, and collect copays
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry and filing
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient concerns and resolving issues promptly

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required

  • One year of customer service or reception/phones experience required (no medical experience needed)
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing situations and priorities

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and practice management software
  • Certification in medical reception or a related field (e.g., CMA, RMA)

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

* Hourly rate: $15.50-$20.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule

* Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM

  • Approximately 1 Saturday a month, 8:00 AM-12:00 PM

Location

* Must be willing to float between 4 different offices in the Rochester area: Gates, Irondequoit, Brighton, and Victor
