Experienced Senior Accountant – Remote Financial Reporting and Analysis

We're now seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our remote team and help drive our financial reporting and analysis efforts.

About the Role

As a Senior Accountant at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in supporting our finance team in driving business growth and improvement. You'll work closely with our Senior Bookkeeping Supervisor to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, as well as identify areas for process improvement and cost savings. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility and autonomy to work from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations for specific areas of the general ledger

• Be a key owner of the monthly close cycle for arenaflex and external entities for explicitly assigned functional areas
• Ensure financial records are maintained for Management and GAAP Combined financial statements using accepted methodologies
• Assist in providing expectations to external auditors on annual reviews and quarterly surveys
• Communicate with FP&A, functional partners, and external parties regarding significant accounting matters
• Conduct special investigations and projects to further our cycle improvement initiatives

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA certification an asset

• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB principles, SOX/internal controls
• Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, GSuite preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to control and process large amounts of data
• Strong communication, oral, and written skills, with a solid command of English

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Accounting or related field

• Experience with financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Strong business acumen and process-oriented mindset
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative
• Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
