Senior Purchasing Buyer - TCS Components
About the position Responsible for all purchasing pre and post launch activity focusing on the program team, supplier and customer requirements integrating data/quote management, contract negotiations, tool timing, CR/CN process flow, Profile management, complete launch readiness, etc.
Responsibilities
- Direct commodity buying responsibility as well as directly providing leadership within the group
- Negotiates long term agreements and yearly savings in line with expectations
- Develops commodity strategies to achieve results
- Understanding of commercial terms and total cost management concepts required
Requirements
- Extensive work experience, discipline, and independence to drive successful closure of Purchasing goals
- Strong negotiating principles and skills
- Minimum of 5 years of commodity or relevant purchasing experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or equivalent experience
- Ability to align with and influence internal program teams, suppliers, and customers
- Ensures accurate data management to meet program timelines
- Familiarity with commercial terms and performance‑to‑target concepts
- Results‑driven and proactive approach from program inception through launch
- Communication verbal and written and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lead within a team
- Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
- High level of integrity
