Associate Producer (Japanese Bilingual)
About the position Associate Producer position is responsible for the upkeep of a live operations product and the production period of a package product. Job duties also include maintaining records of a game title, checking for fan feedback, and ensuring the accuracy of the information handled. If you wish, this position may have a path towards becoming a Producer.
Responsibilities
- Work as a liaison between the Japanese development teams and GOEA production team for a live operations title.
- Responsible for monitoring product updates and maintenances.
- Request information required for social media and marketing efforts.
- Share fan feedback with Japanese development teams.
- Accurately translate informational material from written Japanese to English and vice versa.
- Provide game assets to promote the game (screenshots, art, video capture).
- Obtain clearance for use of assets for PR usage from the IP holders of the developed title.
- Generate ideas on how to utilize available assets to promote the game via events/tradeshows.
- Work with Community Management to coordinate post-launch content development.
- Establish and communicate KPI targets.
- Has a grasp on the game project’s contract and coordinates with finance (for making payments post-milestones, receiving payments post-launch from platforms).
- Assist working with legal counsel, executives, external developers/vendors on contract negotiation and drafting, and monitor milestone tracking and payment schedules upon contract execution.
- Provide feedback on marketing material.
- Check accuracy of in-game messaging.
- Check accuracy of messaging on all official channels.
- Ensure correct timings of messages, announcements, and reveals.
- Manage and mentor more junior members when assigned.
- Ensure that company goals are communicated to reports.
- Handle timesheets and other supervisory tasks when assigned.
Requirements
- Must have business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese, written and verbal.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Two to four years of experience in the same or a similar position within the game industry
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Willingness to travel for business as required.
- Passion for games!

- A proven track record of delivering results in a data-driven environment is a plus.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills are a plus.
