• Provide Video Remote and On-Site Interpretation: Deliver accurate, real-time interpretation services for various settings, including legal, schools, medical, corporate, and community events, ensuring fidelity to the source language while conveying the message appropriately for the target audience.
• Prepare for Interpretation Assignments: Research and familiarize yourself with industry-specific terminology, cultural nuances, and client requirements to ensure seamless communication during assignments.
• Maintain Terminology Consistency: Adhere to client-specific glossaries, style guides, and industry standards to ensure consistency and accuracy in the use of specialized terms and jargon during interpretation sessions.
• Conduct Post-Session Quality Assurance: Provide feedback on the session’s interpretation quality, identify areas for improvement, and document any client-specific updates to terminology or preferences.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with project managers, fellow interpreters, and language experts to meet client needs, resolve linguistic challenges, and deliver high-quality interpretation services for multilingual projects.
• Leverage Technology for VRI: Utilize advanced video conferencing platforms and interpreting tools effectively to deliver high-quality remote interpreting services, maintaining professionalism and client engagement in virtual settings.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics, Interpretation, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in interpreting services.
• Proven Experience in Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) and/or on-site interpreting across various industries, such as legal, medical, corporate, or community settings.
• Strong Linguistic Skills with a deep understanding of grammar, syntax, and cultural nuances in both source and target languages.
• Familiarity with Interpreting Technologies, such as video conferencing platforms and remote interpreting tools.
• Exceptional Attention to Detail to ensure accuracy, consistency, and professionalism during interpretation sessions.
• Effective Communication Skills to facilitate seamless interaction between clients and diverse audiences while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to Work Under Tight Deadlines and maintain a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.
• Certification or Training in Interpreting (e.g., medical, legal, or court interpreting certification) is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency with Interpretation Management Systems and other relevant technology is a plus.
