TWO ANTICIPATED VACANCIES Erie 1 BOCES Alternative Education Calspan Career and Technical Education Center Cheektowaga, NY Duration: 6 weeks July 1, 2026 - August 17, 2026 Hours: 7:30AM - 12:30PM General Responsibilities: To provide academic assistance and remediation to students who were unable to master coursework during the regular school year in a virtual, synchronous platform. Specific Duties: (Illustrative only; not all inclusive)
- Provides instruction in appropriate academic area.
- Provides instruction or remediation as necessary.
- Prepares lesson plans and makes optimum use of class time to meet stated objectives.
- Evaluates each pupil's performance, knowledge, and skills in academic area of responsibility.
- Maintains accurate and complete student records.
- Assists in the storage, maintenance and use of materials and property.
- Participates in planning and developing Program goals, objectives, curricula, and methods as requested.
- Communicates the needs and progress of participating students to each home district in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned by the Alternative Education Principal.
