Senior Leisure & Sports Event Planner

Our client is a premier event management company specializing in high-profile leisure and sports events, and they are seeking an imaginative and detail-oriented Senior Leisure & Sports Event Planner to join their fully remote team. This role is critical for conceptualizing, planning, and executing a diverse range of engaging and memorable events, from large-scale tournaments to exclusive sporting getaways. You will manage all aspects of event production, including budget development, vendor negotiation, logistics coordination, marketing liaison, and on-site execution. The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record in event planning, a passion for sports and recreation, and exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills. You will collaborate with stakeholders to bring creative event visions to life, ensuring seamless operations and outstanding guest experiences. Key responsibilities include: Developing innovative concepts and comprehensive plans for leisure and sports events. Managing event budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial targets are met. Sourcing, negotiating with, and managing vendors for venues, catering, entertainment, and other services. Coordinating all event logistics, including scheduling, transportation, accommodation, and staffing. Collaborating with marketing and communications teams to develop event branding and promotional materials. Overseeing on-site event execution, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a high-quality guest experience. Conducting post-event analysis, including financial reconciliation and performance reporting. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, sponsors, athletes, and venue partners. Staying current with industry trends, new event technologies, and creative approaches to event design. Ensuring all events comply with safety regulations and legal requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in event planning, with a strong focus on leisure and sports events. Demonstrated success in managing large-scale events from concept to completion. Excellent negotiation, budgeting, and vendor management skills. Strong understanding of event marketing, logistics, and operational planning. Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and client relations skills. Proficiency in event management software and MS Office Suite. Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and manage projects remotely. Creativity and a passion for delivering unique and impactful event experiences.
