Pet Care Specialist - Professional Pet Sitter / Dog Walker
About the position Furry Fellas is hiring for 2 Part Time to Full Time pet care specialists to cover Warwick, Cranston, and Providence. This role will start as Part Time and can gradually increase to Full Time, or remain Part Time if desired. Services will include pet care, dog walking, and pet sitting. The position offers hourly pay plus mileage and gratuities.
Responsibilities
- Visit client’s homes to care for their companions while they are at work or on vacation
- Walking, exercising dogs, letting out for bathroom breaks, providing love & attention
- May also include feeding, medicating, providing fresh water, cleaning up after animals, litter boxes, etc.
- Leave a note for clients after each visit so they know how the visits went.
Requirements
- Experienced with dogs of various sizes and energy levels AND/OR experienced with cats/other small animals
- Reliable transportation
- Own a smart phone
- Daily internet access
- Able to pass background check
- Availability during at least 2 of our 4 time frames (Morning 7-10am, Afternoon 11-3pm, Evening 4-6pm, Night 7-9pm)
- Good communication skills/customer service skills
- Able to work well independently
Nice-to-haves
- Vet techs, dog trainers, pre-vet students, dog groomers, animal rescue workers and animal care techs are all encouraged to apply.
