About Us

High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Clinician Responsibilities Must always present as courteous and professional; Maintains and submits any current Licensure or Certification necessary for the performance of the position; Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks; Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion; Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPAO Electronic Health Record (EHR); Must have the ability to work with others in a cooperative and collaborative manner; An understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues and/or self-help programs; Understand and maintain therapeutic boundaries; Reinforce rules in a respectful manner; Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder and HIPAA Regulations; TB/Flu and Covid-19 Assessment; Annual Completion of the HPAO crisis de-escalation program; CPR Certification; Successful completion of all trainings upon hire and annually as required. Clinician Duties and Responsibilities Crisis intervention; Maintain assigned caseload; Providing direct care to patients - including assessments, individual counseling, discharge and aftercare planning, treatment plans and updates, weekly progress notes, daily groups facilitation, group note completion, and completion of bio-psychosocial assessments; Making referrals when appropriate; Responsible for each assigned patients' medical records. All records are to be professional, complete and thorough with entries made in a timely manner; Responsible for connecting patients with aftercare services prior to discharge and aiding the patient and their family access services when appropriate; Communicating/involving family in treatment at patients' request; Attend and participate in all unit, facility meetings, case conferences, Treatment Team meetings, and mandatory trainings, as directed by the Program Director; Responsible for continued education in the field of substance use, mental health and related courses; Always utilize standards precautions; Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients as defined by the patient's rights. Clinician Qualifications Masters degree in one of the following disciplines or a closely related field; clinical psychology, education-counseling, medicine, psychology, psychiatric nursing, rehabilitative counseling, social work. Minimum of one year supervised substance use and/or mental health disorder counseling experience preferred; Independent License (LADC1, LICSW, or LMHC) preferred. Minimum of (3) years of clinical supervisory experience; post licensure; (5) years of behavioral health experience; Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple programs and staff; Experience with EHR systems; Strong computer skills, including Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities
