Associate, Loan Processor (Bridge Loans)

POSITION Full-Time, Hourly, Performance-based bonus LOCATION: Remote Conventus is seeking an experienced Associate, Loan Processor (specifically for bridge loans) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be at the center of our company’s daily goal of executing our mission to our clients. We are searching for an ethical and highly detail-oriented, organized loan processor professional with the desire to go the “extra mile” who shares our values and vision. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key member of our team that is critical to ensuring the thoroughness of our loan origination process and delivering to our clients during a pivotal stage of our company’s development. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for managing the loan processing workflow and ensuring timely and accurate completion of loan operations.
- Reviewing loan applications, gathering required documentation, conducting due diligence, and coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate loan closings.
- Create structured timelines and coordinate internal sales and capital markets teams to ensure a loan is fully documented in a timely manner according to firm and regulatory guidelines before funds are distributed to the client.
- Liaise with clients in a time-sensitive manner to obtain relevant documents and information.
- Open escrow, order title, appraisals, payoffs/releases, credit reports, OFAC and lien checks, and insurance documents, amongst other information in order to complete loan files.
- Analyze documents accurately and communicate additional needs.
- Review loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance and raise potential risks and concerns.
- Support Conventus’ strong customer relationship culture through customer contact, quality customer service, and superior loan knowledge.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS Required
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field (preferred)
- Previous experience in the real estate or mortgage industry a must
- Previous experience in private money lending is a plus
SKILLS
- Proficiency in reading title documents a must
- Proficiency in reading entity documents a must
- Experience in construction lending preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in loan processing, underwriting, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze financial documents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in loan processing and understanding lender guidelines
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines
