Trainee-Level Therapist (Hybrid, New York State)
About Wellness Road Psychology Wellness Road Psychology is a private practice with offices in NYC and Tarrytown, NY. Role Overview We are seeking motivated Masters-level trainee therapists with a provisional license in New York State. This role is ideal for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience, receive supervision, and grow into a licensed clinician role. Both part-time and full-time positions are available, with a minimum of 15 hours per week. Clinicians enjoy flexibility in setting their own schedules. Compensation & Growth
- Starting pay: $40 per session
- Weekly supervision included at no cost
- Pay increases as caseload grows
- Clear pathway to advancement: upon completion of internship, opportunity to transition into a licensed clinician role with competitive pay ($75,000–$150,000) and leadership opportunities
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, couples, and family therapy
- Participate in consultations and collaborative case discussions
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (required)
- Provisional license to practice psychology in New York State
- Training in evidence-based interventions (CBT, DBT, REBT, ACT, etc.)
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers and supervisors
- Integrity, reliability, and professionalism
- Personable demeanor and strong bedside manner
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Couples therapy experience (preferred)
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
