Los Angeles Imaging and Interventional Consultants (LAIIC) is a physician-owned practice providing radiology services for the PIH Health System. These include three hospitals located in Downtown Los Angeles, Whittier, and Downey. The group enjoys a strong relationship with the system and has been providing imaging services to the hospital enterprise for over 30 years. DR: We strive for excellence and are leaders in the hospital: Our radiologists serve as Chief of Medical Staff at two of our three hospitals. The basis of our strength begins with superb image interpretation and consultation skills. From that foundation, we have formed a central role in the hospital system, which continues to grow with the increasing utility of radiology as an integral part of hospital-based medical care. We have state-of-the-art equipment, an active lung cancer screening program, and high-level Neuro, Body MR, and Cardiac CTA+MRI programs. NIR: We service one of the busiest comprehensive stroke centers in LA County, including performing approximately 120 stroke thrombectomies and 35 aneurysm coilings per year. We run a high-level, fully clinical NIR practice with 3 NIRs and 4 PAs. Stroke thrombectomy call is additionally supported by 6 body-trained IRs so that weekend and stroke call frequency is approximately q4. We also have rapidly growing service lines including MMA embolization, tumor embolization, and spine interventions. EMPLOYEES/PARTNERS: Starting salary is $550,000-$800,000, depending on experience Partnership track is 1-2 years with no buy-in Approximately 1-2 evening shifts per month (usually voluntary) All partners are equal in voting power, base compensation, equity, and call responsibility PART-TIME AND CONTRACTORS: We can tailor your schedule to fit your preferences. This customization is our strength and is why many contractors have decided to join us long-term. We aim to retain our best assets, for example, our highest-earning night radiologist (1 on 3 off) makes over $600/hour +productivity bonus. We also have contractors working on a per-study “pay-per-click” compensation format, which is negotiated based on volume and subspecialty training. LIFE AT LAIIC: Vacation is 8 weeks (associate) and 10 weeks (partner) per year. We have annual ski trips and Las Vegas trips for group bonding. Our current radiologists live in LA and Orange County neighborhoods such Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, Beverly Hills, Palos Verdes, Pacific Palisades, Pasadena, Rossmoor, Arcadia, La Canada, Anaheim, and Downtown LA.
