- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Occupational Therapist license in New York (or eligibility for immediate licensure)
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy interventions
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals in collaboration with teachers and families
- Provide direct therapy services to students in classroom and pull-out settings
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Document services, maintain student records, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Educate staff and families about strategies to support students’ development and success
