Mental Health Therapist Dian’s Well Counseling LLC is hiring for a full-time Mental Health Therapists. Full time is 20 or more kept client appointments each week. Benefits are Simple IRA with 3% match, and 100% covered health benefits through Kaiser. This position focuses on providing culturally-responsive, specialized outpatient mental health treatment to predominantly transgender/nonbinary adults on Medicaid/OHP in Oregon. This is a w2 position with the option for this position to be 100% remote, if desired. Opportunity for in-person care at our therapy office in inner SE Portland. Qualities

Please include in the cover letter your: ● Knowledge of the impacts of systemic oppression on mental health and daily functioning ● Understanding of trauma-informed care ● Experience providing care to transgender/nonbinary (TGNB) diverse people and their families and/or demonstrated knowledge of TGNB community ● Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, WPATH Standards of Care and best practices for gender-related needs Qualifications: ● Commitment to improving the lives of transgender/nonbinary people ● Familiar with utilizing email, google work suite, and Electronic Health Records ● Strong documentation skills and/or familiarity with Medicaid documentation standards ● Knowledgeable on the use of electronic record keeping and HIPPA compliance ● Committed to examining counter-transference and power dynamics ● Reliable, responsible, and organized with a strong work ethic ● Able to give and receive direct constructive feedback ● Preferred: Experience billing Medicaid, with active DMAP number Requirement: ● A graduate degree in one of the following fields: psychology, social work, or counseling ● Licensed or a registered associate with State of Oregon as LPC, LCSW, or Psychologist (including LPCi, CSWA) ● Reliable internet connection and private, quiet space for sessions. ● Able to pass a criminal background check ● Must carry own professional liability insurance Clinical Responsibilities: ● Provide affirming counseling services with a primary focus on the TGNB community ● Attend required staff meetings and clinical consultation meetings ● Receive regular clinical supervision from a TGNB-focused supervisor ● Coordinate client care with client providers as needed ● Provide assessments and writing of letters of support for gender-affirming medical care ● Provide referrals and community resources to clients ● Maintain professional ethical standards Administrative Duties: ● Timely documentation of clinical services consistent with DWC standards, insurance contracts and relevant OARs ● Adhere to mandatory abuse reporting, HIPAA standards, and other relevant policies ● Maintain complete client records via electronic medical record system ● Screen potential clients for appropriateness of fit and level of care ● Schedule and coordinate care directly with clients ● Manage and maintain full-time (18+ kept appointments each week) ● Accurately report client and clinical contact hours ● Utilize various phone and computer technologies, including facilitating virtual therapy ● Participate in clinical supervision/continuing education as required by licensing board and state contracts and training that develops clinical skills EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY DWC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
