Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care: evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across the lifespan
  • Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostics; develop and manage treatment plans
  • Perform minor procedures and prescribe medications as appropriate
  • Coordinate care and refer patients to specialists when needed
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver patient-centered care
  • Supervise and support clinical staff; participate in peer review as needed
  • Support and participate in preventive care initiatives (immunizations, screenings, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation, coding, and billing
  • Participate in quality improvement and organizational initiatives
  • Provide rotating after-hours/on-call coverage
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited program
  • Completed residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics
  • Licensed (or eligible) in Virginia
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible

Work Environment & Requirements

  • Outpatient clinical setting with potential exposure to infectious materials
  • Adherence to standard precautions and infection control protocols
  • Participation in required health screenings and immunizations (e.g., TB, Hepatitis B)
  • Physical ability to perform essential clinical duties (reasonable accommodations available)

Additional Information

  • Reports to Clinical Director and/or Regional Medical Officer
  • Participates in organizational committees and team initiatives
  • Performs other duties as assigned
